Le Groupe d’Utilisateurs du Système D’Exploitation Solaris (GUSES) est fier d’inaugurer le premier projet de la Communauté Francophone d’OpenSolaris.org : la traduction en français du portail opensolaris.org, accessible dès maintenant à l’adresse http://fr.opensolaris.org. Cela en fait la 4ème langue disponible pour opensolaris.org. Le Portail Francophone du projet OpenSolaris contient actuellement les pages les plus importantes du site web OpenSolaris. Il sera amené à grandir et évoluer avec l’ensemble de la Communauté Francophone OpenSolaris, à inclure des annonces, les dates de réunions et conférences, des discussions ou des projets, au niveau mondial comme local : tous les utilisateurs francophones d’OpenSolaris y sont les bienvenus.
Ce projet est le fruit de la collaboration de GUSES et de Sun Microsystems, Inc. Les traductions ont été réalisées par des volontaires de la Communauté, la relecture et des suggestions supplémentaires par des membres des équipes de localisation Sun. Cela permet d’avoir la connaissance du contexte propre aux utilisateurs, et une qualité d’ensemble de niveau professionnel.
Cette collaboration permettra à OpenSolaris et ses distributions d’être plus accessibles aux utilisateurs francophones, et à l’avenir, de continuer à améliorer les localisations françaises déjà disponibles.
À propos du projet OpenSolaris Le projet OpenSolaris est un projet Open Source sponsorisé par Sun Microsystems, Inc. Il est initialement basé sur un sous-ensemble du code source pour le Système d’Exploitation Solaris. C’est un point de rassemblement pour un effort de développement communautaire, où les développeurs de Sun et d’ailleurs peuvent collaborer à l’évolution et l’amélioration de la technologie du système d’exploitation. Le code source d’OpenSolaris pourra avoir des utilisations variées, notamment en tant que base pour des versions futures du SE Solaris, d’autres projets de systèmes d’exploitation, et des produits et distributions tiers. http://fr.opensolaris.org

The French-speaking OSUG (GUSES) is proud to announce the opening of the first project of the French-speaking OpenSolaris Community: the translation into French of the opensolaris.org portal, available right now at the address http://fr.opensolaris.org. It becomes the 4th available language for opensolaris.org. The Portail Francophone (French-language portal) of the OpenSolaris project currently contains the most important pages of the OpenSolaris web site. It is meant to grow and evolve alongside the whole of the French-speaking Community, to include announcements, dates of meetings and conferences, dicussions and projects, from a worldwide to a local reach: all French-speaking OpenSolaris users are welcome.
This project is the result of the collaboration of the GUSES and Sun Microsystems, Inc. Translations have been performed by volunteers from the Community, proof-reading and additional suggestions by members of the Sun localization team. This enables to have the users’ knowledge of context, and professional quality for the result.
This collaboration will also make OpenSolaris and its distributions more accessible to French-speaking users, and in the future, continue improving the various localizations in French already available.
About the OpenSolaris Project The OpenSolaris project is an open source project sponsored by Sun Microsystems, Inc, that is initially based on a subset of the source code for the Solaris Operating System. It is a nexus for a community development effort where developers from Sun and elsewhere can collaborate on developing and improving operating system technology. The OpenSolaris source code will find a variety of uses, including being the basis for future versions of the Solaris OS product, other operating system projects, and third-party products and distributions. http://www.opensolaris.org
